Township Virtual Programming Seeks Volunteer Facilitators
Do you have a special skill, talent, or interest you would like to share with others? The Township of Schaumburg Senior Services is looking for volunteer facilitators to lead virtual programming for older adults. Each day, Senior Services is running a virtual program at 10 AM. Older adults are at risk for social isolation and the coronavirus is exacerbating this concern.
Help us provide social engagement and educational opportunities to our residents. Some ideas would be teaching a basic class on language skills, running a cooking or art demonstration, and facilitating a discussion on an interesting topic. We are open to exploring other ideas as well. Facilitators must be comfortable with technology and using an online video conferencing program.
