Holiday Gift Giving Program

Our holiday gift program is where once a year we ask the community to help provide some specific wish needs our families have for the holidays and where we try to get all the items we need to operate our shelters for the year. We have several ways that groups, organizations or individuals can participate to help make the holidays a little brighter for the women and children we serve.

Gift of Hope: This is one of the greatest needs this year - a monetary donation for a specific cause.  One spark of hope can change the journey of a mother or child for the rest of their life.  By giving a monetary donation this holiday season, you can help our families with the large expense of childcare, groceries, rent or utilities. Checks can be made out to Home of the Sparrow. Due a generous donor this year, all monetary donations received between now and December 31, 2019 will be matched up to $250,000. This doubles your donation, making it twice as impactable.

Gift of Opportunity: By donating items needed on the Shelter Wish List, it provides the women and children with basic needs as they move into the shelter or move out into their own housing. This gives them the Opportunity to focus on achieving self-sufficiency knowing that their basic needs are met. Groups wanting to help in this area are welcome to organize donation drives to collect the items needed. Our Shelter Wish List can be found at: https://www.hosparrow.org/how-to-help/shelter-wish-list/

Gift of Support: By adopting a mother, child, or family in our program, you wil have the ability to provide Support during the holidays. Purchasing items on their holiday wish list helps make their Holidays a little brighter. We ask that all gifts be brand new and unwrapped.
