Connecting People with Purpose - The mission of HandsOn Suburban Chicago (HOSC) is to positively impact communities by connecting people to enriching volunteer experiences. Founded in 1969, HOSC has a rich history of successfully encouraging community members to become personally involved in improving the quality of life in the Northwest Suburbs. HOSC recruits and places volunteers with area nonprofits in order to help them operate efficiently and provide quality services that address growing societal needs. Today, HOSC is the largest suburban volunteer center in Illinois. HOSC currently supports 44 surrounding towns and villages in Northwest Cook and Northern DuPage Counties, serving a population of 1.6 million. Currently HOSC partners with over 100 area nonprofits, schools and businesses. The focus is placed on engaging individuals from all income levels, ages and cultural backgrounds in HOSC's programs.
