Adult Literacy Tutor Schaumburg

Read to Learn Adult Literacy/Volunteer Program: Volunteer tutors work one-to-one with adults to improve basic reading and writing skills. Classes meet for 2.5 hours per week for 10 weeks,  at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesdays.

All volunteers must attend training. Our next training session will be held August 24th or August 25th,  2018, from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m at Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights. Volunteer tutors must have a high school diploma or a GED and be at least age 18. An Orientation will be provided.
