Meals On Wheels Driver
Meals-on-Wheels drivers are in HIGH needed to bring meals to home-bound seniors and provide social interaction to the senior. Drivers will arrive at the senior center at 11:00 to deliver the meals in a timely fashion. Mileage reimbursement of $.0535 is provided and a free lunch. Volunteers are needed Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. approximately.
Meals-on-Wheels and other senior meal delivery programs provide millions of meals to seniors throughout the United States each year. Through such programs, seniors who could not or would not otherwise eat properly are provided with services that help live a healthy and enjoyable life.
A volunteer must be at least 21 years of age, have a vehicle, insurance and pass a background check and really enjoy a hands-on-approach to helping in the community. Commitment is flexible and can be adapted to your schedule.
