Grove Program Interpreter/Docent

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for providing historical and/or environmental and science programming and interpretation to school groups and, on occasion, tour groups.
- Assist in conducting established programs.
- Demonstrate and explain historical period activities,
- Provide general information to public about facilities and exhibits.
- Participate in Special Events throughout the year.
- Willingness to dress in historical costume. Costume provided.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Age 18 and older.
- Education: Preference given to individuals with education or background in history, science or environmental education.
- Experience: At least one year relevant work experience and previous experience working with school age children desired.
COMMITMENT EXPECTED:
- Minimum commitment: 1 day per week, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the school year
- Maximum commitment: 1 day per week
- Minimum: 4 months September through May
TRAINING:
- Complete training and support provided
