Adult Literacy Tutor Arlington Heights

Read to Learn Adult Literacy/Volunteer Program: Volunteer tutors work one-to-one with adults to improve basic reading and writing skills. Classes meet for 2.5 hours per week for 10 weeks at Arlington Heights Memorial Library from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Tuesdays, or 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings.

All volunteers must attend training. Our next training session is scheduled for August 23rd and 24th, 2019 from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Forest View Educational Center. Volunteer tutors must have a high school diploma or a GED and be at least age 18. An orientation will be provided.
