Home Delivered Meal Drivers for Tuesdays
Home Delivered Meal drivers are in HIGH needed on Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (approx) to bring meals to home-bound seniors. Mileage reimbursement is available. Drivers will arrive at the senior center at 9:30 on your scheduled day to deliver the meals in a timely fashion. If client does not answer door, you will report to Nutrition Coordinator so that there can be a follow up to ensure that the client is OK.
Home Delivered Meals and other senior meal delivery programs provide millions of meals to seniors throughout the United States each year. Through such programs, seniors who could not or would not otherwise eat properly are provided with services that help live a healthy and enjoyable life.
A volunteer must be at least 21 years of age, have a vehicle in proper working order, clear driving record, proof of vehicle insurance, pleasant personality and excellent customer service. Must be able to lift 15-20 lbs and be capable of walking to and from your vehicle. Commitment is 2-4 hours per week. Orientation and training with existing volunteer is provided.
