AARP Tax Program Client Screener
Like working with people? Greeters needed to welcome taxpayers for the AARP Tax Assistance Program.
AARP Tax Aide program provides free income tax preparations for moderate and low income taxpayers with a special attention to person 50 and older. Both federal and state returns are prepared. Duties include greeting of clients, verifying identification, performing initial source document review, and manage the overall flow of service.
Training is Wednesday, January 29, 2020 beginning at 9:15 until approximately 11:00 at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library. Volunteers are asked to commit to one same day each week during the tax season of February 1 to April 15. Not all sites are open every day of the week; exact placements will be based on your available day of the week.
You will be assigned to one of eleven locations: Arlington Heights Senior Center, Arlington Heights Library, Alcott Park District Center, Wheeling Township, Des Plaines Frisbee Senior Center, Des Plaines Library, Elk Grove Senior Center, Mt. Prospect Village Hall, Palatine Senior Center, Indian Trails Library, and Harper College Learning & Career Center. Shifts are 8:30 a. m. - 1:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
