1Mentor Low-Income Families to Achieve Financial Stability
Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity to get involved with a neighbor in need? Faith Community Homes provides rent assistance and mentoring to working, low-income families who want to achieve financial stability. Working in pairs, volunteer mentors assist their family in making and following a realistic budget and developing reachable goals. Most of all, mentors form a relationship with their family over 2 years and provide support and guidance as they get back on their feet. Time commitment is 4 hours per month, and training is provided. These families live in Arlington Heights, Palatine, and the immediate surrounding suburbs.
