Greeter and Reception for Lakeview Elementary Counseling Program
Welcome young people as they learn to live life more fully!
This is a great opportunity for retiree's and/or college students!
Tuesdays and/or Thursdays 4-7PM during the school year
Kenneth Young Center (KYC) is proud to announce our expanded, collaborative partnership with Schaumburg Consolidated School District 54. We launched in-school counseling and therapy sessions for students and their families in response to community needs. The program supports the mental health of young people, and it helps them as they develop into healthy and happy adults.
We are looking for committed and caring, volunteer support as an on-site Greeter for the students and/or their families.
We need volunteers to welcome and greet students on Tuesdays and/or Thursday early evenings (approximately 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.) at Lakeview Elementary in Schaumburg. Your friendly smile and open demeanor can help make students feel more comfortable for their sessions. You can change the future for these young people as they learn how to better handle stress and life's difficulties.
Two important notes:
- This program follows the normal school-year schedule for holidays and summer vacation
- KYC will cover the cost of required background checks and fingerprinting
