TBSFront Desk and Museum Volunteer
The Museum Shop Volunteer will assist the Visitor Services & Development staff in the operation of the Museum Shop, from sales to inventory management and from overall appearance to the orderliness of the shop. We are currently looking for individuals who can volunteer during the museum’s operating hours Tuesday through Sunday. Morning and afternoon times are available. Duties: Answer phones and record messages, Process Museum shop sales: write sales receipts, bag merchandise, process cash, check and credit card transactions, Process incoming shipments, verify quantity ordered and label merchandise, Notify Visitor Services on matters concerning supplies or merchandise, Restock merchandise, as assigned, Assist in the physical inventory of merchandise, Keep shop clean and orderly, Enter new inventory and sales receipts into Excel shop inventory, Merchandise display arrangement in shop, Research new products for museum shop, Create and update merchandise information sheets.
