TBS Afterschool Tutor at London Middle School
CHiL (Afterschool) Tutor at London Middle School Who: HandsOn Suburban Chicago (HOSC) needs YOU to help underserved students get on track to succeed! What: CHiL (Cooper, Holmes, and London) is an afterschool tutoring program that offers homework help to low-income middle school students. Volunteers will work with small groups of students and under the direction of program staff. Where and When: We are now accepting applications for the fall semester, which is expected to begin in September and run through the end of December. Volunteer tutors are needed on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:15 pm at Jack London Middle School (1001 West Dundee Road, Wheeling, IL 60090). Choose and commit to one day or more per week. Mandatory orientation and training is TBD in September. Applicants must be willing to undergo a background check. Why: Tutoring is a fun and rewarding experience.
