TBS Catchpenny Resale Shoppe Volunteer
First opened nearly 40 years ago, the Catchpenny is an enterprise of the Auxiliary of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital. All proceeds from the store support Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital’s many programs and initiatives. It is staffed by approximately 30 devoted volunteers including teens, adults and seniors.
The shop sells clothing, jewelry, housewares, etc. You are bound to find some great deals for yourself! Think designer jeans, purses, shoes, dresses, coats and much more at a fraction of the street value!
The Catchpenny is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Volunteer shifts range from 3 hours to all day shifts. Duties include greeting customers, ringing up sales, sorting/pricing of donations, keeping the shop cleaned and straightened up, customer services, and more!
Many lasting friendships have been made at the Catchpenny. Come be a part of a great group of volunteers who enjoy helping the hospital and others while meeting new people and making new friends. Why not volunteer and meet new friends while helping a great cause!
