MLK Youth Volunteer Challenge!

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is not just a day off from work and school...it is a day set aside to honor an American hero who dedicated his life to fight for social justice. And it's a national day of service.

JourneyCare and HandsOn Suburban Chicago is sponsoring "Soup & Stories...Comfort and Conversations for Family and Friends." Area youth are encouraged to volunteer and personally prepare and/or deliver care packages on January 20, 2014, containing soup, a blanket and conversation cards to JourneyCare patients and families throughout the community.

Volunteers are needed on January 19, 2014 to help assemble the packages and prepare them for delivery on January 20th.
